The Job Search

So.. for those of you who don't know me, for the past six months I have been working in a Pre-K classroom at a preschool. After trying (unsuccessfully) to find a job in a school system I have decided to leave my Pre-K job and substitute in two local counties where I hope to work one day. I'm trying to stay motivated, but I can't help but second guess my decision. Thinking positive thoughts!

  1. I subbed for half a year after I graduated and learned so much...more than any class in college. I also found the grade I really wanted to teach. God put me exactly where He needed me. =)

I would love for you to come and visit me when you get the chance. Be sure and add a follow button. You can go to design at the top of your blog and choose layout. Then choose add a gadget and the follow button should be the ninth choice.

If you ever need any help, let me know. =)

  3. Welcome to blogging and teaching! I am new to blogging myself and just found you on the newbie blog hop. Anyway, I just wanted to encourage you to hang in there. I subbed for 8 months after I earned my credential and it lead to a permanent position in the district. I've been teaching for 18 years in kinder and first now. So, do your best, be friendly to the administrators, and you'll have a job soon.

  5. I subbed too before I got my Big Girl job. The information I gained was priceless. I found out which schools I liked and which ones I didn't. I also learned how to make it easier on my subs. Hang in there...Some jobs come open mid-year and although it isn't the best time to take a class...it does get you in the system.
I was hired two days before the open house.
